The Readiness Interactive Zone (RIZ) is an online platform of educational games that collectively advance the concepts of OPOR's Activation Readiness initiatives. This innovative and interactive approach uses gaming to familiarize staff to critical Go-Live plans in preparation for Activation. Developed by OPOR's Deployment & Operations Team (D&O), RIZ introduces users to games based on key readiness programs to prepare IWK and NSH staff for CIS Go-Live. RIZ works to reinforce learnings from various OPOR platforms, including Activation Readiness Work Groups, PREPARE forums and Roadshows.
Test your knowledge and readiness across three immersive games built to reinforce critical Activation concepts in a fun, interactive format. Each game focuses on a different area of Go-Live preparedness.
Navigate a high-pressure scenario where your clinic or unit loses access to the CIS. Make the right decisions across 15 sequential tasks to keep operations running smoothly during an outage.
This scenario-based situational game is designed to reinforce the correct actions during an unexpected CIS outage in both Ambulatory and Acute care settings. Players must respond to situations during a downtime to complete their mission. The game builds proficiency and confidence in executing the correct OPOR downtime procedures through immersive.
Play it HereRace against the clock to correctly sort clinical data elements by whether they need to be cut over before Go-Live. Accuracy and speed will determine your success across Emergency, Ambulatory, and Inpatient settings.
This puzzle game is meant to help users appropriately identify clinical data elements in a chart based on whether they will be cutover before Go-Live. It pairs reaction speed and accuracy against a clock that counts down to Go-Live. Accurately cut over as many data elements as you can in 4 rounds of cutover across Emergency Department, Ambulatory, and Inpatient areas.
Play it HereBecome a clinical sleuth in this interactive game that takes place in a newly deployed clinical information system.
Inspect and solve common Go-Live issues. Investigate 4 cases: Distinguishing Referrals, Consults, and Orders; Solving login issues; Locating missing patient data; and Identifying Primary Care Providers.
Play it HereBecome a clinical detective in this IWK-focused game and identify the correct system—OPOR CIS, Provider Portal, LK Oasis Archive, or Legacy System—where data can be accessed at Go-Live. Use clues to guide your search and refine your instincts.
In this clue-based game, players try to determine where key patient data can be found at Go-Live. This game is designed to help staff use context clues to confidently locate clinical information during Activation by building familiarity with the systems where different data elements live.
Play it HereScoring is tracked across all games, and the top performers will appear on the Leaderboard. "Bring your A-game. Your readiness might just earn you the spotlight."
